Math Speaks is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., whose mission is to inspire and empower students from economically disadvantaged communities, from elementary through middle school. We provide transformative STEAM experiences and foster a deep exploration of math to open pathways to future opportunities and careers. Our culturally responsive after-school and family education programs empower the next generation of innovators and leaders to change the world.
Opportunities Through Learning
Math Speaks provides out-of-school experiences that promote exposure to STEM. Summer camps and weekend Math Speaks Academies allow us to provide personalized, one-to-one learning experiences, and homework help.
Parent & Community Education
We create bespoke parent and community education programs to address the needs of parents and their children. From educating on the latest technology, and math games that promote critical thinking, to new math teaching methods related to Common Core Math.
Support for Communities
Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.
